Truly the night of the Brits (Firth!! Bale!!)! Jean and I stayed up watching it til about 2.15am when the connection on our laptops stated getting wonky. James Franco and Anne Hathaway failed to really impress me; as the Guardian aptly puts it- Franco was the smirky one while Hathaway as the big-toothed-enthusiastic one (oh pity the lady her mouth isn't that big and she was gorgeous in her white gown!) WOOHOO FOR THE KING'S SPEECH! Now i really have to see it. And Tom Hooper winning best director?? Now that was a surprise! Everyone was rooting for Aronofsky or David Fincher to win anddd True Grit really left empty-handed! Michelle Williams looked lovely with her pixie crop again. But the first thing I thought of was how Heath was by her side 5 years ago. I don't know but I wonder if attending the Oscar is a painful tradition for her. Hmm.
