Twisted Fucking Nerve
Wiki: "Herpes zoster (or simply zoster), commonly known as shingles, is a viral disease characterized by a painful skin rash with blisters in a limited area on one side of the body, often in a stripe."
So the Doctor says I have shingles. My right arm is currently erupting in the most fucking disgusting little red boils along my nerve (she said the word nerve and this song popped into my head. I'm Uma Thurman, the shingles are Daryl Hannah). It's incredibly repulsive to behold and it hurts. My precious right arm. I'm like a real-life Wikus from District 9. Also, there's a thing on my nose which I thought was just a pimple but it's behaving strangely (to be honest it looks more like a miniature version of Des's stuff) and my parents think it could be a shingly thingy as well. What the hell is happening to me?
I cannot believe this. Cannot fucking believe this. I thought only old homeless people got shingles. Anyway apparently I'm currently a hazard to little kids, so stay away, children.

my brother got shingles when he had h1n1, its basically the chicken pox virus that resurfaces when you're immunity is low. don't worry kelly you aren't a freak or a hobo.
ReplyDeletedoes this mean no movie this week? ): ): get well so we can watch lovemeifyoudare next week at least!
Yeah and omg, I had no idea that 9-the-animated-one-not-Nine-the-huge-cast-musical-one is coming out next week! Let's go! I will carve out some time from my super last minute-ly busy and shingly life to watch it.
ReplyDeleteOn a side note, everytime I look at my arm I wanna puke. I'm going to make a horror movie about shingles once I leave UCLA.
It will be called The Shingling. Or Shitgles.
ReplyDeleteyeah i saw my brother's shingles when he had it. fucking gross i must agree. wear long sleeves! Haha!
ReplyDeleteand ok we can watch it when you're better (:
NO if I wear long sleeves it'll just burst and become a weeping sore (hahaha I love that phrase, it's really damn grotesque in an unexpected way).
