Serious, Single Men

Updates on the movie-going front, because that's really been the best part of this quarter. Here are two movies I saw recently, on and off campus! (Read: free and not free)

A Serious Man, directed by the Coen brothers. I feel like I enjoyed it much more in theory than I actually did in the cinema, if that makes any sense. I need to watch it again, I think. But I did love some parts- especially the bad-ass ending. That's really the best word.

A Single Man, directed by Tom Ford (yes that Tom Ford) (the Gucci designer Tom Ford) (also the naked-with-Keira-Knightley-and-Scarlett-Johansson-on-the-cover-of-Vanity-Fair Tom Ford). Beautifully shot - as you would be able to tell from the trailer if only it was in higher quality, beautifully designed, beautiful cast (trust the fashion designer to make everyone look good)... some beautiful acting. Not quite as beautiful in the other departments.

OH and tomorrow I'm attending a performance at school for the History Channel, called The People Speak, and Josh Brolin will be there! Yaaaay Brolin.
