the Twenty Word Review of The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus

i am reposting Kelly's post because we just watched the movie and good lord - I thought it was simply amazing, and it simply deserves to be at the top of DMS for a while again. it was like Alice and Wonderland and all the wonderfully weird and breathtaking things i love - and absolutely gorgeous sets, and the most delightful colours. and Heath. Gosh. Heath - what more can I say. it was genius. absolute genius. and let's not forget the wonder that is Lily Cole's red hair. it was one of the most original plots in a while. why do people give bad reviews for this?! how can you not love the creativity and freedom that oozes from this movie?

and again, Heath.

Or rather what passed through my head as I watched it:

"Gorgeeeouuussss visuals and art direction. Starting to get Lily Cole now. Heath, Heath, Heath. And again: Heath, Heath, Heath, Heath."

And on a related note, because this always bears repeating: The Heath Speech that Rocked the Nation.
