That time of the year

I found this under my door last Thursday morning. There was one for my other roommate, Kristen, as well. Quite understandably we were both extremely upset.
(Keep in mind that it was 7.30am and I had just woken up.)
After a good ten minutes worth of swearing and groaning we heard muffled laughter in the vicinity of Brooke's bed. What's so funny, we muttered. She popped out from underneath her covers and said Turn them around!!!
And of course they said April Fool's! on the back.
Oh how nefarious! But wasn't that clever of her? I have to admit (but only here, not to her face) I'm quite proud of her for pulling it off so well. Not many things in this world, I think, that are sweeter than a successful prank. And by that measure, not many things more tragic than a failed or unfunny prank, which is why I didn't attempt some sort of retaliation. I find myself less and less creative every year.
