Last Saturday

I like Disneyland for a handful of reasons: 1)Pirates of the Caribbean - the glowing lanterns, the smell of chlorine in the dark, yo-ho yo-ho a pirate's life for me. 2)Haunted Mansion - the creepy portraits in the elevator at the beginning that after so many years still give me chills, the ghostly couples waltzing in the ballroom. 3)Peter Pan - that half minute of pure joy when you fly into the room that's filled with stars and soar over Neverland. Those starry seconds alone make up for everything; the sad little plastic mermaids in the next room (god, that ride is 55 years old), the fact that you line up half an hour for a 2 minute ride, the nagging worry that you, nearing the big 2-0, are probably starting to get too old for this...

  2. 1. I did go on Space Mountain. It was awesome.
    2. I did go on Star Tours but I immediately felt embarrassed about forcing my friends to go on it because it wasn't HALF as cool as it was when I was 10. Or even when I was 17. Old-school simulator rides have become SO outdated all of a sudden and I TOTALLY blame Avatar.
