i just finished episode 2, and um, well, its different. the characters are interesting, but so far the show feels entirely different. the characters are very stereotyped. not stereotypical, but stereotyped. which is the biggest difference from the 1st gen i feel. 1st gen characters were very real and relatable, because they could really be you or me, more or less. they felt down to earth and believable. 2nd gen was somewhere in the middle, like the characters did play up to certain stereotypes, but at the same time there were some relatable qualities. so far, the 3rd gen characters feel quite flat. i hope it gets better. i doubt it'll reach the height of the 1st gen, but i guess its become a different show already. i am learning to manage my expectations. i guess it is a different show about a different time.
