I am suddenly stricken by the insane, unprecedented urge to get a Twitter account!

I had a feeling this day would come eventually!
In the shower 5 minutes ago I mentally rifled through all my solid, well-rehearsed Anti-Facebook diatribes and realized that I didn't have the same well-supported opposition to Twitter. The best I could come up with was: "So self-indulgent" and "Promotes short-attention span, which I already suffer to the major detriment of my commitment-level and life". And then the insidious thought kept popping into my head that "If it's good enough for Sir Ian McKellen, it's good enough for me."
Goddamn you Sir Ian!
Anyone have any thoughts on the matter? I suspect that if I get Twitter, I'd be a voracious tweeter, but simultaneously consumed with guilt every time I post something, because deep down I know it's wrong, oh so wrong. Why do I have to be such a Puritan?
