The National isn't exactly the most happy band one should listen to once one returns home to enjoy the sun, summer and comforts of home but good lord their latest album 'High Violet' has been on repeat for me since I got back.
Each day I have a new favourite song from the album. On Thursday it was 'Anyone's Ghost' and yesterday it was 'Bloodbuzz Ohio'.
Here's a link so that you can download the album if you're interested in hearing Berninger and the band play and sing about isolation and displacement and all other things sad. Or maybe happy (depends on your mood and how you look at the songs). And I officially love Matt Berninger's voice and his face. His beard! And sad-looking and wistful eyes. Boy can he write good lyrics.

Ooh thanks Shu. You've no idea how much I've been hearing about how awesome High Violet is supposed to be.
