To protest against the government cutting education funding and raising university fees expo over 50,000 students marched their way to Westminster on 10/11/10.
The protestors were really upbeat and determined to get their message across- that cutting the education funding would lead to some arts departments getting shut down.
Apparently the funding for the history department will be cut by half by next year. Crud.
Omg the same thing happened here last year. The protesting achieved nothing. :(
ReplyDeleteAs a result getting into the good classes, which was already super tough to begin with, is pretty much impossible these days.
Did it work? They're cutting funds AND raising fees? Ridonkulous.
